I don't think this is about removing F from existing frames but this is the oft talked about 2 class ~650 seat A380 configuration for some markets, correct?

I tend to agree, based on the following sentence:
Two-class A380s are scheduled to arrive in Q4 2015.

... Additionnally, the story mentions Mumbai as a possible two-class A380 destination. India is said to be a typical market for such a configuration.

I tend to agree, based on the following sentence: Two-class A380s are scheduled to arrive in Q4 2015. Agree, although it is not completely clear whether these will be new deliveries or if some existing aircraft will be refursbished

EK takes about 12 A380s each year. They don't have to refurbish any aircraft in their fleet to introduce a new configuration.

Totally agree with philidor it doesn't make sense to refurbish and spend money if you can receive new ones with the new configuration from the factory without spending extra money

I tend to agree, based on the following sentence: Two-class A380s are scheduled to arrive in Q4 2015. There will be 4 new frames delivered in a 2 class configuration at the end of next year. They will be MSNs 200-203. Capacity is expected to be 58J/557Y, a total of 615.

Thank you for the insight, alfamale ! I hope they 'll fly filled to the gills ! The first aircraft carrying more than 600 passengers will be a major industry milestone !

58J is definitely low premium (for EK standards that is, and looking at the size of the A380). I am very interested to see how those A380's are configured.
I sure hope they will leave my beloved bar in, as I do think we will see the 2-class coming to Amsterdam.
