A bit annoying to read. If I understand correctly, they order 18 787-10 firmly, plus 6 options, and 2 more 77Ws. Why can't they just spell it out directly? Well, it's a press release - they are trying to make the deal shine, that's what the people who wrote it are paid for. That's also why they give a list price deal value, and would never say to what extent aircraft can be discounted.

Nice spin indeed, 'up to' 24 jets.

I know that, but I still find it pretty annoying because it feels like they try to take the public (me) for a fool so obviously. And compare what they write to a random Airbus press release: www.airbus.com/newsevents/news-events-single/detail/korean-air-finalises-order-for-30-a321neo/

I would not go so far as to say that lessors have been reluctant to order the MAX, but I feel they haven't been enthusiastic about it. One new order for 11 units does little to change that impression.

Boeing's latest weekly update : 42 new orders (BOC Aviation for 22 737s, EVA Air for 18 787s and two 777s). Boeing also identified BOC Aviation for one 737 and AirBridgeCargo Airlines LLC for two 747s previously listed as unidentified. www.boeing.com/commercial/#/orders-deliveries
