There seems to be something under construction on the left of the picture, tent? chapiteau? temporary? what for?.... XWB stated in November or December last year that Airbus intended to build some temporary shelters (tents ...) to help with A350 production. Is this one of them ? |

This sounds odd to me, right in the middle of the A380-FL occupate one spot/building an A350-OF room... if so wouldn't they have done it at the very end of the FL?... I would have imagined those A350-temporary constructions to take place where it would disturb other programs the less?.....

The tents are also clearly visible in the above photo. This sounds odd to me, right in the middle of the A380-FL occupate one spot/building an A350-OF room... if so wouldn't they have done it at the very end of the FL?... I've been told the tents are for the A350 and they will be placed on the A380 flight line. Why? Probably because there's plenty of space (I believe there's room for 8 A380s on the flightline, only half the positions are occupied) and there is ground power available to power the aircraft. |

Which make sense - the people work inside of the plane - covered from "the elements". They just need some protected space to get through the doors the needed parts ....
