49 A350 delivered in 2016 according to the Airbus spreadsheet. 47 with delivery flight and 2 stored in TLS for AerCap.

49 deliveries to 11 customers (7 new) +2 A350-1000 deliveries to Flight test
It's definitely a great achievement despite all the supply chain difficulties they faced in 2016, but quite funny way to say Airbus achieved the delivery target of 50.

The last question on the Q&A section was about supply chain problem in 2017, whether this has now been resolved.
The answer was, for the quantity - yes, but not for the quality. Airbus is sending staff to their supply chain locations to do on-site quality inspection and asked suppliers to improve their quality.
Appreciate their honesty, it seems there are still issues there for future A350 delivery.

Well, they did not - even if by a hair breadth - even if they tried not to say so ! Of course, one single missing delivery does not matter, and Airbus can be pleased.

Well, they did not - even if by a hair breadth - even if they tried not to say so ! Of course, one single missing delivery does not matter, and Airbus can be pleased. Technically, you are right, they didn't mention the number of 50, but if you listen back to the webcasting, they claimed that "we've met our delivery target for the A350 in 2016".
And the target has been repeatedly mentioned as 50 during 2016.
While say meeting the target with the slide exactly showing: "49 deliveries to 11 customers (7 new) +2 A350-1000 deliveries to Flight test"
Don't you see the funny side?
And let me be very academic, if you want to quote what I said, can you please quote my whole sentence please? Not delete part of it, that is not a proper quotation, and easily misunderstood and/or misleading. Especially you even changed the lower case to upper case.
I've never believed Airbus can deliver 50 A350 in 2016, but I said "It's definitely a great achievement despite all the supply chain difficulties they faced in 2016", in fact, a remarkable turn around for A350 production. Hats off for all people working on that production line.

I must admit I have been fully wrong all year long, ultra surprised and congratulating Airbus, December miracles are even greater than one would think !

It is not only the supply chain - it is also the "obnoxious" customers - we might name the one ! Provided he would behave as the others - 50 would have been easy.
