I think they will need to deliver up to MSN 73 or 74 to reach the 50 target. MSN63 is already behind MSN70. Geoff I am sticking to 52 this year

From one of romain's latest posts, we learn that MSN 70 'apparently' is in station 50. a380.boards.net/thread/1353/a350-900-msn70-cxThis small piece of information is extremely important in my opinion. Airbus' 2016 A350 delivery guidance is 50. There are 5 test aircraft, 1 A350 was delivered in 2014 and 14 more in 2015, so MSN 70 is the theoretical 50th 2016 delivery. It follows that if Airbus manages to deliver MSN 70 this year, then it is assured of meeting or beating its delivery guidance. MSN 70 being in station 50 before mid-May, I believe that she should easily be delivered this year, and that we should expect Airbus to beat its own forecast. EDIT : I wonder whether the official target (50) was in part set so that all frames 'before MSN 71, the first A350-1000' are being delivered this year. Don't forget 3 more A350-1000 test frames up to MSN 71 MSN 59 for first A350-1000 ?

Some interessting fact about production speed, the time in FAL (S50 till P18) strongly decreased with the rate going up to 5 per month. Since MSN49 it is not longer than 8 weeks, compared to 10-14 weeks before.

I would just love to see already the "drop" of deliveries to change into the "stream" For 50 deliveries MSN70 is not enough - that is obvious. Also we well know that the MSN line will not be strictly observed so probably we are looking at something like 77 or so.

You are forgetting the A350-1000 testbeds, and MSN 63 has not been loaded into FAL yet.

I actually expected to be corrected, but I completely forgot about MSN 63 ! Just to nitpick, I wonder whether Airbus has a chance of delivering MSN 5 this year ...

To summarise ;
15 deliveries by end of 2015.
Total of 65 needed by end of 2016 to meet target.
8 prototypes produced or being produced.
Lowest MSN required is 73.
As frames are not delivered in MSN order it is likely that highest number required is greater than 73.
Interesting that MSN 74 is the first for LH so we can see what they say about their first delivery.

Anyone would know what the planned deliveries are for the rest of the year?.... (which MSN which month?)..
(edit) (I will stay with my personal forecast, maximum of 25 deliveries this year? and LH not making it. We'll see.)
