AFAIK, Allegiant never placed an order with Airbus for a brand new aicraft. This is most likely a second hand aircraft indeed.

This sentence from the press release makes it clear that Allegiant's order is for a used aircraft. "Airbus’ Asset Management team structured the deal, which is a strong example of how Airbus aircraft find a second life with many customers worldwide.".

It is hardly imaginable Allegiant ordering a new plane - complete nonsense, similar to JET2 no way !
