A Chilean Plane that went missing without a trace over the Andes in 1961 has been finally found by mountaineers. The plane was carrying several footballers from the Chilean football club, Green Cross. Out of respect, the mountaineers have promised to keep the location secret to prevent looting. The pictures of the DC-3 crash in the mountains kind of reminds me of Tintin in Tibet. www.mirror.co.uk/news/world-news/first-footage-lost-plane-disappeared-5126893May this discovery bring a sense closure to the family and friends of the victims of this long standing mystery.

Amazing find. Let's hope it won't take 50 years before we find MH370

Amazing find. Let's hope it won't take 50 years before we find MH370 I really hope in that case, that the satellite data analysis is pointing to the correct location. If not...I don't know how else we'll ever find it. If the search authorities are unsuccessful and terminate their mission, I hope some audacious wreck hunters/ocean explorers will some day carry on with the search like these mountaineers. Also of note, the AF447 search area was compared to an "underwater Andes" given the large sea-mountain range around the crash site.
