Is HK Express the first customer for Arctic Aviation Assets? First external, as Norwegian off course allready is a customer. The deal with HK Express was announced as a LoI with an unknown customer i August and has now been firmed. So far is it the only firmed external customer, but expect more to follow

Is there some other airline to own airplane leasing company ? I think there are a lot of airlines running some kind of leasing. Here in Iceland both Air Atlanta and Icelandair group do it.

Thanks, I thought Norwegian would only operate 737 MAX. Then I misunderstood you. HK Express is then the first A320neo customer, and Norwegian doesn't curently plan to operate it themself. However, Arctic owns 737-800s that are leased to Norwegian today

Oops, my bad. I should have asked 'Is HK Express the first A320neo customer for Arctic Aviation Assets?'. I didn't know Arctic also owns 737 metal.

I know but it is a bit different. Those are normal airlines and they sometimes lease out their machines. Most of the airlines does this - specifically the charter/seasonal operators.... This is different - the airline owns a leasing company (to lease the planes to itself) + to anyone who appears.

Is there some other airline to own airplane leasing company ? I remember Lion Air mentioned its intention to grow a leasing arm as part explanation for having ordered 500 narrowbodies.

Both Air Atlanta and Icelandair do lease out long time too, having frames just for that purpose, and Icelandair Group has Airco ehf owning most of Icelandair's birds. So if you dig deeper at many airlines, you could be surprised.
