I think have an answer to your interesting observation. The winglets are always paint before install and for msn 29 and 34 we never recept winglets for there aircraft. Also for msn 31 and 37 we recept winglets with paint.(SQ 3 and 4) For your information the trek of an A350 winglet: first it's manufactured in south korea by korean air aerospace division, after the winglet go to S30 in Toulouse at the begining of the S30 Phase the workers put the winglet out of it transport trolley to a paint trolley. It go to paint and go back to S30 one week after and it's assemble if is not damaged. Very interesting, what % of the winglets get damaged ? Also the CX ones were in a new colour scheme, so they probably hid them in a cupboard

Sometimes, the winglet is damaged during assembly or for msn 37 a part is too large for assemble. But just in case not exist a private room on this forum ? Go to messages and you can then send a private message, I will send you one to replie to.
