Anyone else hear or read about the BA 787 who suffered nose gear failure whilst on stand at Heathrow?
"British Airways 787 Dreamliner (G-ZBJB) has suffered from a nose gear collapse on stand 583 at Heathrow Airport"
Think it was about 2 weeks ago (at a guess).

An engineer had put the nose gear "locking pin" in the wrong hole so it did not work !

Oops! Not clever, guess they will take it out of his pay? On serious note, is it a repairable incident or potentially a write-off?

Just a very minor point - the use of term "engineer" in the UK has been reserved for people with technical and mathematical knowledge, and using them to design, build and test equipment or experiment. Often it is associated with "Chartered Engineer" status. Although this person on the ground of Heathrow may have the "engineer" in his/her job title, according to our professional body Royal Aeronautical Society, he/she is definitely not an engineer, maximum will be a technician or technical staff.

IIRC technicians had worked on the plane inside the cockpit at the time of the incident.

It was 18th of June 2021, I have dug this tweet with photos out.
