Pardon but cargo converted A380s these days sound like a joke to me. It does not sound serious, even though they cite 'one of the world's largest cargo shippers'. I think they are overblowing their customer contacts to make their aircraft shine ... How serious are these contacts ? What we do learn is that they aren't talking to HiFly. Has that project stalled ? I wish success to both Dr Peters' group and HiFly.

If above is all acurate : From the first quote it seems Hi Fly is not after SIA A380's, at least not through Dr Peters. From the second quote it looks like they want to sell only four out of the five to be returned.

They only have four, MSN3, 5, 8, 10.
MSN6 belong to Doric.
It sounds like it is very difficult to sell these four.

From the first quote it seems Hi Fly is not after SIA A380's, at least not through Dr Peters. I beat you by eight minutes with the same comment [these aircraft are Dr Peters', not SQ anymore after the lease was terminated]. From the second quote it looks like they want to sell only four out of the five to be returned. Only four of the ex-SQ aircraft belong to Dr Peters' group. Another owner has one, though I don't know which one. Is it the aircraft HiFly is interested in ? EDIT : ff just posted that MSN 6 belongs to DORIC.

Really? SIA and Doric don't know that I know that four of the five A380s SQ is planning to return to their owner belong to Dr Peters' group. Another frame - I don't remember the MSN number - has another owner (a DORIC company is possible, I don't remember). What makes it difficult to track is that a leased aircraft can be sold at any time before or after the end of the lease.

Russia takes so many used western aircraft it might take some A380 as well. At Transaero one could see how their domestic market fed widebodies without a problem. However I am not sure about the current financial situation over there and the current strength of the market. Like people having much money to spend to travel.
