So much for the overrun prevention system. It was more of a runway excursion since part of it went off the side of the runway rather than off the end of the runway, and I don't think the overrun protection system protects against that.

So much for the overrun prevention system. That's a bit unfair. The ROPS helps you not to land too long (or too short, I suppose), it is not intended to help you to remain on the runway after a hard landing.

So much for the overrun prevention system. What this situation would need is a Runway Excursion Prevention System or REPS™.

Four tyres and some checking is not to bad, would have been a lot worse with wet / muddy ground and landing gear leg collapse
