and from Airbus...
I find that really amazing how many A321 are ordered in the last time and i think that the internal pressure at Airbus is rising to come up with something bigger.......

Does not need to be that expensive if the basic design is used with a wing root extension. Would bring lift, perhaps drag reduction through a greater span and space for fuel. The stretch should be simple.

The A321-200 is very close in size already to the B757-200 see below. Main differences MTOW, Range and engine power.

The A321-200 is very close in size already to the B757-200 see below. Main differences MTOW, Range and engine power. Yes the A321LR does everything the 757 does, apart from having less space and filling the hold with fuel tanks. No reason not to grow it further.
