Thanks. Any chance that RwandAir becomes the first African Airline, flying the 242 tonnes A330 ? Or Tunisair and Air Algerie have already 242 tonnes A330s ?

Hi Here are some infos about RwandAir A330s : - The A330-200 will be called Ubumwe, which means "Unity" as the vision of Rwanda is to be one nation working in Unity for a brighter future
- The A330-300 will be called Umurage, meaning "Legacy" where RwandAir shares the gift of Rwandan warm hospitality and culture throughout its destinations. These names will be painted on both sides of the aircraft. www.rwandair.com/YITENAWE-CAMPAIGN
– RwandAir will become the fourth African airline to choose SITAONAIR as its connectivity provider. RwandAir has two A330s, both of which will be line fitted with mobile phone and Wi-Fi services. www.rwandair.com/RWANDAIR-PUTS-PASSENGERS-ONLINE
Any infos about the start of the assembly of the first aircraft ? Is some part of the 1st A330 have already arrived at Toulouse ?
Thanks

In this article, the RwandAir CEO says that RwandAir will take delivery of the A330-300, in november 2016, instead of december 2016. allafrica.com/stories/201602190263.htmlI know that some delivery slots are availble, since Air Asia has canceled a part of its A330 order. It's possible for an airline, to take delivery of an aircraft earlier that planned ?

It's possible for an airline, to take delivery of an aircraft earlier that planned ? The decisive moment is when the airframe sends out to its suppliers orders to start building aircraft parts. From that moment, there is a given lead time to completion. The schedule, however, probably allows some slack time, just in case some unexpected issue arises. So, if everything goes well, being one month early seems possible.

Not a big issue since the production rate is reducing..
