This might be a thing from now on. Re-purpose unsold test aircraft as customer training and familiarisation vehicles when introducing new types, instead of just sending them to the scrapyard.

This might be a thing from now on. Re-purpose unsold test aircraft as customer training and familiarisation vehicles when introducing new types, instead of just sending them to the scrapyard. Airbus has been using test aircraft for customer crews training for years. The last exemple we had was ANA crews being trained on A380 test aircraft. Unfortunately, that was probably the last opportunity to use a A380 test frame for training, since ANA was the last new customer for the type.
