P.S.: Suggestion to peter : Maybe you could put the list in the first post in a code block and align the '='. Makes it easier for the eye. Example: ABC = bla bla bla DE = blubb FGHI = whatever Done

CAF = Cabin Acceptance Flight
Don't mean to be nitpicky - I'm genuinely curious: I always assumed it meant 'Customer Acceptance Flight', and that during these flights the customer would check everything (specifically the technical performance of the plane), not just the cabin equipment. Anyone knows the correct version? P.S.: This thread will be mighty useful as a reference! I think it should be made sticky.

'C' stands for 'cabin' in 'CFF' (cabin first flight) but for 'customer' in 'CAF' (customer acceptance flight) or in 'TAC' (technical acceptance by the customer)

I just thought of the following abbreviations.
IFR = instrument flight rules (as opposed to VFR 1) VFR = has two different meanings, depending on context 1 - visual flight rules (as opposed to IFR) 2 - visiting friends and relatives (as opposed to 'business trip' for instance)
I suspect VFR 2 is the airline industry substitute for the former 'ethnic traffic' which nowadays is not deemed politically correct. Am I right ?
