I think flight duration is really not a problem for the engines...it just needs more time to start up. LH might be too cautious to the issue and also they limit the aircraft within the cities where they have large base of engineers in order to get maintained quickly if needed.

The fact is more related to the size of india compared to germany, isn't it? Indigo also just flies between its Hubs and focus cities. I do not believe it to be the case. LH could fly to many major EU cities with high quality service facilities. This was the reason given by LH to use it only in Germany to have at both ends skilled MX. I guess the main issue are the wrong warnings. This is of course not an direct explaination for the low cycle per day but maybe it is related. But we were talking about Indigo. So again I see no difference in the use pattern so far. The flight length is not an argument for me.

Important is it flies smoothly and also the fact that they are brave enough to run two daily cycles of 2,5 hours flights while LH runs only two cycles of under 1 hour flights. The main problem found on the P&W engine is that after a flight you must wait about 300 seconds before starting your engine again. In that respect, whether an airline flies short or long segments makes no difference. Our focus should be on the number of cycles per day - so far, no airline flies more than two cycles.

I still do not get why more than two very short cycles are the limit ? This delay either 3 minutes spoken by many or Philidors 5 minut should not be of significance since the fastest LCC turnaround is half an hour.....

I think it's just caution. The reason may be software glitches rather than engine issues - it takes time to clear issues.

I just checked how their 320neos are doing - it seems all 3 are doing fine, each of them doing 2 x 2-3 hours cycles. i.e. still better utilisation than LH. Considering LH ... they would have to fly 2xFRA-LIS or FRA-SVO or similar......
So in average they are about 10 hours in the air per day. Similar to other A320 they have.

When getting a new aircraft like this in service it is segments that is important. Stage lengths are almost irrelevant and most issues seems to appear during start up
