I just wonder if the 2 Spirit will take up are MSN 8658 and MSN 8668. Looks like you were right. Maybe Tianjin Airlines NTUs need some more rework or waiting for lease to start? Anyway new builds seem to join the Spirit fleet first.

Most of them have test flights recently (MSN 8038 flew this month), but it seems they don't fly out as soon as they get delivered contractually (eg. MSN 7757 and MSN 8275). The problem you were talking about is engine shortage problem where you can only put engines on a certain number of frames.

We do not know what engines they have and were used to ferry them to the various refurbishing stations. Spirit deferred the neo and ordered 6 ceo. Now they are starting to take some neo again, but it seems just 2 still this year. The older frames are in varying conditions, some are in storage. The new frames, with spanking new engines are ready to go. Do you want to put them in storage to deliver the older ones?

3 Tiajin NTUs are already delivered, so I guess they are in perfect technical conditions for Spirit. I guess there are legal, financial and operational issues hold them in storage, nothing technical, Spirit is maybe mnot willing to spend the resources for integration still in this year.

A bit strange that some are delivered (not flown out) and some not. It does not even depend on the MSN. 7757, 7851, 8275 are delivered but stored and 7788 and 8038 are not delivered. Perhaps it depends on the lessor or how they are financed? Now MSN8658 gets delivered.

Couple of days ago on Skyliner: How far can we trust that this not only an interpretation by skyliner? That bird has been standing around for a while undelivered. Would than 7788 also be ntu?

Perhaps it depends on the lessor or how they are financed? MSN 7788 did not fly so far, so no delivery. MSN 8038 did its CAF on the Nov 29th and flew in new reg to TLS later in December. So my educated guess is it will be in the OD sheet. As you said the frames are ordered by a lessor, so I guess Airbus had some contractual pressure or ask for help to get them delivered in 2018 to the lessor even if Spirit is not taking them right now. I have absolutely no inside to such legal framework, but we know that such deals happen from the past.
