I visited Emirates Engineering today for a tour to see the cabin refurbishment. I will produce a story for Airliner World and Dutch monthly Piloot & Vliegtuig. These are pics of EUH. Two shifts work around the clock to get the aircraft back in service on November 27. Despite vertigo I climbed the seven floors to get to the top of the tailfin. Here are my tweets:

EUH left the hangar on November 26 and did various ground tests and engine checks. On December 2, she did a 53-minute flight off coast Dubai. Emirates Engineering said during my visit on November 16 that the plan was to have her back in service on the 27th, but this hasn’t worked out:

EUH returned to service on December 4 to Singapore, 52 days after entering the cabin refurbishment and 6-year check. The plan was 46 days.
