We don't know if MSN138 was being outfitted during UK380's visit because he couldn't see (the roll out time of MSN138 will learn us), but he did saw MSN138 undergoing wing repair with wing tips attached. So our "wing tip theory" doesn't hold stand, maybe they were reattached once the repairs are halfway through.
We only saw MSN121 and MSN128 going inside without wing tips, MSN138 was already half through the repairs.

Thanks for the tip UK380!... We saw both MSN121 and MSN128 without wingtips during wing repairs, if MSN138 still has wing tips, it confirms for sure that wing repair is not done during OF. Fabien Oliver I disagree, I can say with 100% certainty that MSN138 was undergoing the wing repair in XFW with the wing tips on, I don't know why they are removed at TLS and not at XFW. my certainty is based around the description of what was being done by our guide AND the obvious fact that the ribs were being worked on.

Too bad one is not allowed to makes pictures, I would love to see that kind of work.

Airbus has stated that they count on a steep learning curve between the first and the wing last repairs. Therefore, there may be some improvements in the process.
