Is this part of the 23 undisclosed order on Airbus' order book?
Orders from Chinese airlines often remain undisclosed before Stock & Share market announcement.

From the article: Kinda surprising CA is able to get 20 slots before 2022 and next delivery starting next year. Maybe they were able to benefit from Etihad cancellations and HNA deferrals?

Unlikely. 15 of the 23 undisclosed order are from an order from May 31 last year. And we concluded at that time it was likely from Hainan (HNA).

This made me even more convinced that CA took over the 15 slot HNA reserved (as I said before, Chinese do not fold on orders, they only swap - normally under CASC banner), that's why the first 15 were A350-900s. Then CA added 5 more which is flexible in terms of -900 or -1000.
Very logical, isn't it?

Very logical, isn't it? True this would make sense. Since the those are very early delivery slots, it sounds likely that CA takes over HNA slots. If this is the case CA really helps HNA out big time by taking over extra capacity HNA doesn't want anymore. Interesting time ahead...

Haven’t seen anything from Airbus yet. Even if some slots have been reassigned, the order may still be a new one (if HNA deferred deliveries).
