Congratulations to Boeing.
The 787 has been setting all kinds of records, both good and bad, unfortunately.

Congratulations to Boeing. The 787 has been setting all kinds of records, both good and bad, unfortunately. Possibly better said the other way round ? Bad, very very bad, then good, then very very good ! We will be looking at a production rate of 14 frames a month by early 2018.

We will be looking at a production rate of 14 frames a month by early 2018. I doubt it very much, unless we see an unexpected avalanche of new orders. In my opinion, the present backlog (700 orders) does not warrant a 14 per month production rate, the expected early 2018 backlog (> 500) even less.

In my opinion, the present backlog (700 orders) does not warrant a 14 per month production rate, the expected early 2018 backlog (> 500) even less. They are at 12 per month now ! So 14 is not a problem, it would also give the FAL guys something to do when the B747-8 line shuts down and the B777(X) production line(s) will be slow. We also hear a lot about airlines not ordering because there are no early available slots, well if they up to 14 per month there's another 22 frames up for grabs in 2018 ?
