I find it very difficult to tell these engines apart on most pictures. The first post (in page one) is the best reference you can find in the internet. MSN 8286 is clearly listed as a CFM frame Those lists have sometimes to be corrected. |

When I found an error I pointed it out and it was corrected and it happened more than once. I was commenting on the advise to look at those lists if one is unsure and finds different conflicting information on the net, they can err too. I did not say that in this case their is an error. |

Gotcha! All the information on this site is mostly carefully researched thanks to diligent members. I just wanted to say that additional checks, like identifying the engine on a picture to double check the correctness of current information, should not be discouraged, but rather welcomed with open arms. |
