I am not too convinced about this log entry, as the evidence of final registration been applied. Particularly because it doesn't have a remark like "REG VISIBLE UNDER LEFT WING" like other entries have on the same log, and also it has been added at the end of the log, out of sequence. The "071" sticker on the tail has been removed a while ago, so that is not a sign of delivery been done. It would sound like adding insult to injury, if VS take a delivery on the day that they've announced further job cut of 1150 people. www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54027229

Airbus has to help with financing to get the backlog out of the door. Also as a former test frame, a decent concession has to be made.

Thanks ca350 , I accept your points. I wasn't aware that Airbus could deliver a frame without full payment. I believe this frame will come through ALC, and also an ex-test frame, so there might be complex financial deal involved - often Airbus offer very good deal to VS on testbeds. Will wait until the O&D spreadsheet, it could have been delivered to the leaser.

The final registration is painted on the airframe and a sticker is put over it with some interim factory F-registration. Whenever Airbus peels of that sticker they intend to finally handover it to the customer and all contractual hurdles should have been passed. However maybe some bank or leasing company is the actual legal owner or similar, could be?

Last week the UK Court officially signed off the Virgin Atlantic restructuring plan. Not surprising that they can now receive frames especially on lease.
