There are not 11 LEAP frames undelivered below 7500. There were not 11 frames waiting for engines in 2016. In don't give a damn to this tweet. But if you use it to say 23 are missing, than please full version. The real discussion point is: "The LEAP is as slow as GTF"! I challenge because it does not fit to facts. No LEAP (beside the 2 test frames and special issue 7181) below MSN 7450 is undelivered. There are many GTFs non Qatar with73xx are still undelivered. So this statement is based on what? Undelivered frames with leap engines below MSN7500: MSN7499, 7494, 7489, 7486, 7484, 7475, 7472, 7466, 7459, 7181, 6642 and 6419 I count 12. It could be that MSN6419 and 6642 are not ready, but her 2 P&W sisters MSN6286 and MSN6720 are delivered. So there are at least 10 delayed today. And why is MSN7181 a special issue? We have SAS declaring a delay on their LEAP powered frames, next up is MSN7489 and than 7499 both below 7500.

Mjoelnir, while its's most likely true that CFM is delay for 2017 as of now, i dont think you can say 10 A320neo-cfm planned to deliver in 2016 are late. The original A320neo delivery target for 2016 is 100 and 1/3 are CFM. That mean 33 for 2016. At the end they delivered 29 CFM A320neo to customers, so only 4 CFM A320neo delivery are late in 2016.

That may be, but short is short, and that means at least 8 engines missing and that while cleaning out everything at the end of the year that was not nailed down. Where in December were the engines for the frames working up to be delivered in January? We have seen 2 first flights of LEAP frames this month, that makes it 3 undelivered LEAP frames having had their first flight. Airbus should be at rate 5 for LEAP frames by now, that means 10 new engines at least per month. And we get the news that SAS is expecting delays on their A320-251n. MSN7489 was to be delivered this month, not flying. MSN7499 was to be delivered 8th of February, not flying. Where are the frames with lower MSN than those two. I see no indication that Airbus has slowed producing frames. GTF frames are as slow, but it is advertised that P&W is in trouble with deliveries. There is plenty activity of ceo frames working up in January.

However, I don't understand why you need to be so defensive. No matter how good or bad P&W deliveries are, the fact stands that CFM was 23 engines short in 2016. There is no reason to fingerpoint and turn this in a CFM vs P&W debate. Just a handful A320neo aircraft are waiting for their LEAP engines. As no customer is screaming murder, I would expect neither Airbus nor CFM to advertise if there are delivery delays. We are seeing what is happening. According to plan Airbus should deliver MSN7489 to SAS next week. The A320-251n is delayed, that frame was seen painted without engines in the middle of December and it looked rather like going into storage than getting its engines and its test flights. Someone, name of the poster, declared that frame still being in storage on the 21th of January. So if enough engines are there why do they not hang under the frame? And what is with MSN7484, 7475 and 7472 has somebody seen them with engine? We should also see MSN7499 with engines, to be delivered on the 8th of February. MSN7466 and 7459 have done their first flights, that are 2 frames, four engines only. If not engines, what hat else is holding deliveries back? That AirAsia should be MSN7508 or a higher number, showing that Airbus has a frame waiting for engines above 7500. And it was me that said that LEAP frames are as slow coming out of production as GTF frames. And in regards to speed of delivery of engines. 9 GTF frames had been delivered before the first LEAP frame was delivered. Since than 30 GTF frames have been delivered and 29 LEAP frames. If engine deliveries control the speed of frame deliveries, delivery speed of LEAP engines are the same as GTF engines. The delivery speed of GTF engines is slow because of industrial ramp up problems.

I am not sure how many engines are late for 2016, but at least the aircrafts delivery is not bad. For this year LEAP delay, it's possibly quite bad. AFAIK, AirAsia decided to take delivey of 6 A320ceo this year, which they have previously converted all their order to A320neo.

MSN 7489 is not in storage area anymore, usually I would conclude it is gone to engine fit like the other not seen ones with MSNs below.
