That is not the oldest MSN8445 is still there. Perhaps we see Airbus cleaning out its old stock.

That is not the oldest MSN8445 is still there. Perhaps we see Airbus cleaning out its old stock. Any idea why that frame is still kept in storage? Some serious problem or just a delay?

Airbus had this huge glider stock when the engine troubles were at its height. When engines started to flow, Airbus preferred to deliver the new frames right of the FAL, rather than clearing the older stock first. The older frames got new engines and made ready for delivery, not according to the row of the MSN numbers. There are simply some left to be finished and being delivered. Also some customers have been slow to take their frames, like LATAM.

I think that a huge part of airlines tries to optimize the financial burden this way: since the problems have arisen on the manufacturer's side, it's always possible to shuffle the date of delivery through various tricks - starting from direct negotiations, finishing doubling the whole checking procedures.
