It did need a SECOND CAF and possibly many more to come. Shout out to Qatar delivery team who devote themselves to the pursuit of perfection. Make sure that every detail is thoroughly checked, i.e. carpet and lav. This is what a great airline is built upon.

We don't know why this frame required ten test flights. Let's first point out that a high number of test flights has nothing to do with a dirty carpet or seat malfunction - such issues are usually found during inspections on the ground, less frequently during test flights, and they are quickly addressed.
Airbus might have been coping with a specific type of problem (some unusual noise, etc ...) or testing a new equipment (such as a new in-flight entertainment system, etc ...).
Anyhow, whatever the number of test flights made by the manufacturer, the customer only believes what his teams see during the airline acceptance process (inspections and test flights).

Philidor true - but surprisingly those issues happen ONLY with QR frames .... so there is some suspicion that it is not Airbus issue but Qatar one !

In addition to what you all say, and if I'm not wrong, most of those flights were more or less to prove to Qatar that the frames are ready. Most of those 10 test flights came after the decision of Qatar rejecting MSN63, MSN78, MSN90 and MSN100. And a few weeks later Qatar change its mind to reject other frames MSN16x instead of those ones in latest FAL stages.

I don't think carpet or eqiupment quality check needs to fly, which is rather expensive trip. So this is to be about inflight function of installed equipment. In the cockpit there are minimum differences, if any and again it's unbelievable that the other airlines don!t accept aircraft fully airworthy. So either it is on demand equipment or tactics how to keep face in spite of cash problem. Here I also think that here are some flights to maintain acft in flyable condition as we saw by future Sichuan planes. unless some parts are to be conserved. I have such experience from general aviation.
