MSN 82 has been reported to be in A15 tent on October 4th. She has therefore spent less than six weeks in the tent, which is the current trend.

Outstanding work is not the same as rework.

Outstanding work is not the same as rework. Right, but it tends to decrease with improvements in production. It might however increase again temporarily whenever the pace of production increases.

Outstanding work is not the same as rework. I understand the difference but the line is thin..... Rework is something which was redesigned during the development + and permanent improvement process i.e. the things are done differently on the pre-assembly sites Outsatanding work is "something" left to be done. As the industrialization a and ramp-up process continues more of the things to do in TLS are already done well on the pre-assembly sites i.e. less is left for the completion process. So to sum it up - the more is done correctly in the parts manufacturing (other sites) - less is left for the final assembly.

So to sum it up - the more is done correctly in the parts manufacturing (other sites) - less is left for the final assembly. I don't know whether much outstanding work 'travels' from sub-assembly sites to TLS. Outstanding work could also happen in the FAL either because of missing parts, or because some stations lacked time to complete their task, for instance after a rate increase.
