Looks like the delivery flight went via DWC. Same as the ceo's. For a few years already: routing TLS-DWC-KUL for delivery flights.

One of the AirAsia A320neo jets has been put into storage. Even CFM cannot deliver their engines on time. AIB02GX 13/9/2016 by A380_TLS_A350, on Flickr

should I deduce from your comment that this particular area is just for storage?

AIB02GX 13/9/2016 by A380_TLS_A350, on Flickr This is Thai AirAsia´s A320-251N - MSN 7195, reg. HS-BBX (test reg. F-WWIM) with the cabin configuration Y186 and will be powered by twin LEAP-1A26 twin-shaft turbofans. Otherwise, Thai AirAsia has 49 Airbus A320ceo aircraft in its fleet, all with Y180 cabin configuration. 3 of them are of type A320-214, powered by twin CFM56-5B4/3 twin-shaft turbofans (fan diamater: 1.735 mm / 68,3 in; eng. architecture: F+4LPC-9HPC ^ 1HPT-4LPT) each 120,10 kN / 12.247 kgf / 27.000 lbf and 46 are of type A320-216, powered by twin CFM56-5B6/3 twin-shaft turbofans (fan diamater: 1.735 mm / 68,3 in; eng. architecture: F+4LPC-9HPC ^ 1HPT-4LPT) each 104,53 kN / 10.660 kgf / 23.500 lbf Nice regards mfranjic

AIB02GX 13/9/2016 by A380_TLS_A350, on Flickr Putting it on the engines is jumping to conclusions IMO.... It's the first for Thai AirAsia. Maybe Thai AirAsia is not ready to receive the neo yet. Maybe the Thai CAA, is taking longer to approve the aircraft for commercial service. The first was delivered to the Malaysian branch of AirAsia, it does not mean the Thai branch will take delivery as well... Just my 2 cents //Edit: I'm more curious of what frame the full green primer one is
