Not the same airline. Avianca Brasil is not part of the Avianca group. The Avianca group and Avianca Brasil have partly the same owners.

Have we a specific 'Avianca Brazil' thread ? If not, have we a sufficient understanding of the situation to create one, or should we wait for clarification ?

Have we a specific 'Avianca Brazil' thread ? If not, have we a sufficient understanding of the situation to create one, or should we wait for clarification ? There is more separation between Avianca and Avianca Brasil, than for Iberia and British Airways for example. Absolutely no reason to have them in the same thread. If we have the airlines of the Avianca group, that does not include Avianca Brasil, in one thread, that is a different case.

Seperating Avianca Brasil from Avianca make sense. But what about Avianca El Salvador (3 A320neos) and Avianca Costa Rica (1 A320neo)? Should we create different threads for them as well? Or if it's easier to re-name this thread to "Avianca Holding"? Not knowledge enough to make a call myself. www.planespotters.net/airline/Avianca-Holdings

The A320 family order at Avianca can end up at any airline in the group. Avianca Avianca Argentina Avianca Cargo Avianca Costa Rica Avianca Ecuador Avianca El Salvador Avianca Guatemala Avianca Honduras Avianca Nicaragua Helicol Sansa are all in the same group.

In my opinion, let's keep this thread as is ('Avianca group'), and create a separate one for Avianca Brazil.
