That's good news for Airbus. The penalty is small, and the group is now through some of its legal problems.

company.airbus.com/investors/Publications.htmlGood profits: 2,877 million EUR Plenty cash at year end: 12,021 million EUR Positive cash flow: net increase in cash 1,861 million EUR Sufficient equity or own capital: 13,349 million EUR or 11.72 % All that while inventories at the commercial aircraft division increased by 2,354 million EUR (all divisions 1,776 million EUR) No cost deferrals as accounts are done to IFRS. I think this should lay to rest that Airbus had a bad year in 2017. If the engine delivery and reliability situation would have been better, it would have been a stunning year, all while eating the cost of the A350 ramp up and the financial disaster the A400M still is.

Yes, the latest (but maybe not the last) one-off A400M charge is 1,5 billion. The charge comes after an agreement with the partner governments. Enders thinks the financial risk from this programme has now been seriously reduced.

Hopefully his career will continue elsewhere. FB is young and smart enough to continue his work elsewhere. It was sad to see Enders and Brégier split.

Fighting for the top position is part of corporate life. I would have liked Bregier to become Enders' successor, but we'll soon see him reemerge as the leader of another group. I am the only one to be reminded of Alan Mulally ?
