on 18 and Nov EC-416 operating out of Brize Norton conducted probable DASS trails over the range at Donna Nook, just south of Grimsby. I think peter will need the DASS description for his abbreviations thread ?

It is a second test at unpaved runway, like a desert storm. But is it new or an old video?

EC-402 and EC-404 left Seville together and shortly after passing south over Marseilles EC-402 crew switched their transponder off and EC-404 continued to work over the sea until approx 1720 UTC when the crew turned the transponder back on and are currently RTB. EC-402 did the same last week with RAF VOYAGER ZZ334 on the 24th, 26th and 27th October. VOYAGER flew from BZZ and back each day: FR24/ZZ334

Do they turn off the transponder on one aircraft when they are flying close together, e.g. During Air to air refuelling otherwise the collision avoidance system constantly Tells them to take avoiding action ? I think they do the same when AB put up multiple ships for photo shoots, only one transponder on !
