Anyhow, the US Air Force will not need new airlift in the next few years, so any market opportunity is a distant one ...
The only hard fact is that, as soon as the C17 production line is closed (next year), the A400M becomes the most capable military airlifter offered on the market, unless you take into account some shaky Ukrainian/Russian projects.

The 6th A400M for France has been delivered. Excellent news, for both Airbus and the French Air Force, which really needs air lift capacity.
