Did we not discuss and decide that the QR delays recently were down to waiting for the new design Business Class seats that had to await patenting / testing / producing ? a380.boards.net/post/88802/threadI am well aware of that. That's why the production flow started moving recently. Ok, just thought I would reference it here as that discussion was in a different thread.

Possibly although if that's the reason I question why they dry leased and not wet leased the LATAM frames. Good point, I thought it was a wet lease, thanks for the info.

The QR frames are making steady progress tho, with MSN 69 having finished two test flights and another 5-6 frames either in cabin fit or in paint. Let's see in about two month if there's a big delivery push for QR. The fact that Airbus really focused on pushing CX and SQ, the other two biggest customers, should make up some of the delayed QR frames. Did we not discuss and decide that the QR delays recently were down to waiting for the new design Business Class seats that had to await patenting / testing / producing ? a380.boards.net/post/88802/threadSorry , too many threads to follow them all. Seems a strange and expensive decision by QR to change the seats at this stage, when there are already quite a few frames with a different seat. Still it's their decision and they can always blame Airbus for the delivery delays. Geoff

It wasn't an sudden decision to change the design, it was a long planned roll out of the Qsuite. It's such a great product taking travel community by surprise, in a good way.
It will take business class travel to a new level, making most of US and European carriers in such contrast.
If that means a few frames will be delivered few months later, so be it.

Quiet month for deliveries so far, just one handed over with just over a week to go to month end. Seem to be 5 candidates for a typical end of month rush, 93,94,95,99 and 103. Do you think they'll all make it ?

My guess is they will get 4 deliveries. They are averaging 6 currently. And you can see that as you can estimate all frames rolled out now will most likely delivered before the end of May.
Frames entering FAL should be around 7/8 per month now.

MSN 97 and 95 have been delivered, and MSN 94 got its test registration removed. MSN 93, 99 and 103 are good candidates as they all had 2 or 3 test flights.

MSN 93, 99 and 103 are already at DC.
