What does that mean, performance issues?

What does that mean, performance issues? No idea, but announcing a December 2nd delivery does not sound too bad.

If that's MSN225 (1st with RR engines) that they are speaking about for a 2nd December delivery, I would imagine that is already too late and the frame is already delayed, it was rolled out 5 weeks and a half ago and it hasn't apparently yet moved, it is for me impossible to imagine it with a delivery in exactly 2 weeks, especially if there are issues with the engines...... If issues with engines I would not even look at a delivery this year, hopefully though before end of EK-financial-year (end of March) but not even sure?.................

At Farnborough I spoke at length with Engine Alliance. They were still very much pissed off about losing the follow-on order to Rolls-Royce. They also said Emirates would regret this switch, as the Trent has only a limited track record in hot and high operations, whereas the GP7200 has. There looked to be some animosity in this, but reading now what Clark has said I begin to understand what EA means. Mind you, the Trent has 0 hours on the Emirates A380 fleet, except its first flight to Hamburg. But not a single minute in hot and high Dubai. So if Clark says there are already performance issues now, I wonder what is really going on here.

There is temporary solution for EK with A380 deliveries. First they could take remaining 5 380 with P&W engines (msn 220, 221, 222, 223 and 224). Later maybe rolls-royce improve engines for EK to start their deliveries.
