Low-cost airlines are not network carriers, they don't try to sell a seamless service. So, apart from trying to create a new brand, which only makes sense when all members belong to the same group, I don't really understand the purpose of creating an alliance of low-cost carriers.

It is easy - to hike up the prices I just wanted (6 hours ago) to write it is a bad news for the passengers - but then thought ahhh forget it.

True, although many LCCs are already offering connecting itineraries within the airline so as long as the cost of offering connecting flights with other airlines aren't too much and the airline's flights aren't being cannibalised by joining an alliance then increasing the airline's network shouldn't hurt. From the wikipedia article linked by Fabien above, Here's a CAPA article on the alliance. centreforaviation.com/analysis/hna-group-four-airlines-form-u-fly-alliance-worlds-first-lcc-grouping-showing-hna-consolidation-262418Just as interesting as U-Fly Alliance is Value Alliance which was launched not long after U-Fly and features both long and short haul LCCs from Australia, South East Asia and North Asia. Whereas U-Fly appears as a way for the HNA group to consolidate and facilitate cooperation with their LCCs in China, to me, Value Alliance is a way for the LCCs to more effectively compete with the larger LCC groups in Asia such as the AirAsia and Jetstar groups. (I've just gotten the following images off google)

Low-cost airlines are not network carriers, they don't try to sell a seamless service. Actually, more and more LCCs are starting to look more like network carriers. Some be cooperating with others, such as here by enabling combining tickets. Other have a lot of "internal" feed, taking Norwegian as an example. Both on shorthaul and longhaul

Imagine if we would have an alliance made of Ryanair-EasyJet-Jet2-Eurowings-Transavia-WizzAir .... that would be a complete disaster for us poor passengers What the prices would do ? !
