I've been wondering lately about Steph B's posts in the A320 categories, see if we would/should keep them and where, I wouldn't think they should stay in the A320 categories but perhaps in the categorie of 'Other Aviation threads'? And now today comes another one about products to buy about aviation a380.boards.net/post/87634/threadThis definitely do not belong in the A380 General Chat categorie, and then the same question will apply, what do you think? Should we keep these in the forum? If the answer will end being yes, we might have more and more, might be annoying over the time...... thoughts?.. |

I quite like the Steph B posts, if a new airline orders, then Steph B can produce an illustration of what it's going to look like before we ever see the real frame ! As long as the posts do not get to frequent / commercial ! Otherwise we could just have a thread in the "Other Aviation threads" section re commercial placements ? E.g. For the A380 Die cast models posts etc |

Steph B posts do advertise his work, but they also provide beautiful aircraft images. I agree with Stealthmanbob, we should leave them in their existing thread.
I am less favourable to posts offering miscellaneous aircraft objects (models, books ...). Here too I am with Stealth, let's have a commercial offers thread.

I agree with stealthmanbob and philidor above, I see StephB's post as being not too different to myself or any other poster sharing pictures of aircraft in the nice pics threads, we're just sharing our own work and it doesn't detract from the categories, nor are they irrelevent. As for the A380 die cast models thread, it'll fit perfectly if merged with the following thread (it even answers the last post in it!  ) a380.boards.net/thread/689/models |

I agree with your posts. I like the pictures from StephB. For the future I think we should be carefull with "products to buy about aviation". Fabien is right, if we allow it, we will see more and more. But it should not be my decision.
