I was hoping some US airlines will eventually to orders the 777X. Delta, United, or American will considering the 777X in near the future. We shall see what happen.

Air India and Jet Airways. Air India the loss making airline propped up by the government and Jet Airways running out of liquidity. I would be astounded if either will buy the 777-8/9. Furthermore both have rather young fleets of 777-300ER. The Air India frames are on average 8.2 and the Jet Airways 11.5 years old.
I assume somebody is dreaming the dream.

Airbus pitched the A380 to various airlines too. The real news would be if an airline expressed interest in it. That would be something worth discussing.
