EEL returned to service on November 27, operating to Jeddah. So far, she is the oldest A380 back in action and the only of the EE-series.

EEL and EEM returned to DWC a few days ago, but have done cargo services to Shanghai out of DWC since December 16. The first time this was done from Al Maktoum, which has huge cargo facilities. Let’s see if Emirates has removed seats on these aircraft.

A6-EEL flew ferry today DXB-PKX, the new airport Peking Daxing....any idea what is she doing there? Good catch. There seems to have been no canceled regular Beijing service EK306/307 in the past days, so this flight seems extra. No tech checks are taking place in Beijing either, unless we missed that before. Let’s check what EEL is up to on Monday.

Are you sure?....in PEK there`s the huge AMECO facility, but I believe there isn`t such a facility in PKX.

Are you sure?....in PEK there`s the huge AMECO facility, but I believe there isn`t such a facility in PKX. They do have one for A380, which China Southern built it for their A380 fleet. "Topping all hangars in Asia, the hangar has space for three wide-body airplanes and three narrow-body airplanes. It is capable of simultaneously conducting base maintenance works on 12 airplanes, which include two A380 and three B777 wide-body aircraft." www.xinhuanet.com/english/2020-05/18/c_139067339.htmhere is what it looks like: weibo.com/2063690267/4944730745474666
