When Blue1 withdraw B717 back in 2015/16, Delta have to fight with Volotea and QantasLink to get their hands on 3 B717 out of the 9 available frames that are 14-15 years old.
Even last year, Hawaiian have to compete with others to get hold of the two frames from Volotea.
So it is difficult to understand why the frames from Turkmenistan is unpopular with airlines, or is it just this frame alone because of its status?
Or perhaps the A220 changed the game completely, Delta is expecting to use A220 to replace B717 from this year. We will see.
