EDIT : I see no reason to keep this thread alive anymore : there are no more Kingfisher A380s to talk about ... They have never been completed. Are any frames in any part built to Kingfisher specifications, which Airbus needs to sell secondhand and complete to the specifications of the new buyer? Or are there 5 delivery slots that become available for resale to new buyers, without any specifications from part built Kingfisher? When are these slots?

EDIT : I see no reason to keep this thread alive anymore : there are no more Kingfisher A380s to talk about ... We'll always need somewhere to discuss Kingfisher A380's. I can only see benefit if threads get merged, but a thread about one potential operator is too specific to be merged - IMO

Who will take ex-Kingfisher A380? Perhaps, I think Air India or Cathay Pacific will take A380. We won't know for sure.

These aircraft were ordered with no precise timeline, since A380s were then - and still are - banned from India by government policy. Of course, parts were never ordered from the suppliers. The cancellations therefore do not alter Airbus' production plans and do not leave any production slot vacant. These A380s are just not going to be built.

Is see India as the very A380 market - long term. Even today they have the population and the airports to handle it. However if even Air India feels a 777 is "too big" for them I see it takting years until they get the business case A380 organized to make this a profitable operation. Maybe they should hire some EK-A380-experts? They could get it going within months!

The A380 and A350 orders were removed from the order book some time ago.
