Delivery deferred again: www.ch-aviation.com/portal/news/59736-tap-air-portugals-maiden-a330neo-eis-date-slips-again"The Entry Into Service (EIS) of the A330-900neo has been delayed a further four months with launch operator TAP Air Portugal (TP, Lisbon) now expecting its first aircraft of the type to make its commercial debut in July of next year. Portuguese business paper Jornal de Negocios quoted sources at Airbus last week stating that in light of the fact that the Rolls-Royce Trent 7000s were only fitted to the A330neo last week, testing and certification would last well into 2018. "The maiden delivery deadline" of the A330-900 is "the end of the first half of 2018", the source said adding the anticipated EIS date will take place "a few days later", probably in July. TAP Air Portugal, which has fourteen A330neo on order from Airbus, had expected to take delivery of its first A330-900, msn 1819, in March of next year."
