A330 MRTT

The Brazilian Air Force launched an international tender at the end of January. She is looking for two Airbus A330-200, which are to be used for troop transport and for aerial refueling. The aircraft will be converted to MRTT (Multirole Tanker Transport) after being purchased by Força Aérea Brasileira from Airbus. The A330 must be built in 2014 or newer and must not have more than 28,000 flight hours and 4200 cycles. In addition, they must have engines from Rolls-Royce or General Electric and not from Pratt & Whitney.
