And the French order, though officially announced, is unlikely to be firmed soon. I would expect the order to be split into several tranches, for public budgeting reasons (to spread the commitment on more than one year).

Leahy said while announcing 330NEO that 100 more CEO orders are needed - it looks like it is not without a chance, with all those MRTT on the way and I doubt it that MRTT will change to neo design soon.

It will help Airbus nicely to fill the gap between NEO-CEO as predicted. German and following other EU orders will (hopefully) come.

Perhaps Airbus could offer a deal : take them in 2016/2017, pay later. It might help, since military timelines usually are budget dependant. Yet, Dutch procurement rules may not allow this.

The tanker modification has a significant long lead time. So for a delivery in 2020 they would have to order them a few years in advance. The bare aircraft would have to leave the assembly line in 2017 or 2018 to meet the delivery schedule.
