I guess you mean the RAAF as the RAF don't need any more, they have already civilianised 1 and leased it to Thomas Cook !!!

I guess you mean the RAAF as the RAF don't need any more, they have already civilianised 1 and leased it to Thomas Cook !!! That was always the plan for the RAF birds, others are on other passenger duties. In times of crisis the frames will be called in and are ready for deployment in a very short time frame.

In times of crisis the frames will be called in and are ready for deployment in a very short time frame. there is only one Air Tanker (RAF) bird in civil use the other spareS have not been delivered yet ? I think the contract is for 10 operational birds and three spares ? There are still two more to come, one will get civilianised and leased out the other proberbly stored in military spec ? As a quick spare ?

This is a major success for Airbus' military branch. South Korea has a record of procuring its major military supplies from the USA, and Boeing expected to win its first KC 46 export contract. Having won all tanker competitions so far, the A330 MRTT has established an unchallenged leadership position in international sales.
