I read somewhere that 'loong' means 'dragon' in Chinese ... This assertion would need a serious confirmation, though, I may be completely wrong ...

Using Google on the full name and then reducing the numbers of Chinese characters I get: 浙江长龙航空 (Zhèjiāng chánglóng hángkōng) translates to Zhejiang long flight. 浙江长龙 (Zhèjiāng chánglóng) is not translated 龙 (Lóng) translates to Dragon There is an article on Wikipedia on Loong that starts with "Not to be confused with Dragonair"  |

Heard from a unverified source saying that LoongAir is taking their first NEO in March, becoming first Leap-1A operator in China. Take it as you may. EDIT: Not happening  |
