with the current backlog at Airbus, it would be interesting to see the delivery slots...this is definitely worth watching.

I may open up a can of worms in saying this, but what is everyone's thought on them ordering some 321LRs in this?

- DL had already mentioned this upcoming contest. These recent comments are just a confirmation. - We don't know the missions the birds are intended to fill. The answer might open or close the door to the CSeries, but the fact is DL never mentioned BBD. - I think Boeing cannot win without waiving their ongoing legal action vs the DL/BBD deal. - Early P&W engine issues should not be a concern as deliveries are supposed to begin in 2020. - 'Price is not the only factor' actually means 'price is the decisive factor'.

The A320neo is also offered with CFM engines. So far all their NB equipped with CFM engines, except MD88 & MD90 which used PW & IAE engines. CFM LEAP 1A could be their prime choice if they choose A320neo. Choosing PW engines could also mean potential delay as we are yet to know when would PW1100G delay end. With this year delay most likely will dragged into next year & 1 out of every 7 engines as reserve, delay in 2018 is anticipated. 2019 onward might not be affected. However, this is all depend on whether their Oct 2017 patch could address all outstanding technical issues.

Leeham asks obvious questions. - Did Boeing offer to drop the (dumping) complaint as a carrot to win the deal? - Did Delta demand Boeing drop the (dumping) complaint as a hammer to award the deal?

Our investors day is on the 14th, and someone mentioned a CS300 will be in Atlanta on the 11th.
