Good to see that 2018 deliveries have now started.
I’m looking to see how quickly Airbus can progress the delivery of frames that have been held up whilst ramping up to Rate10.
Including those that have been handed over commercially, I make it 23 frames that are delayed leaving TLS, for various reasons. MSNs up to and including 178.
The reasons are ;
China/CAAC 7 frames
QR 14 frames
-1000 8 frames
6 of the frames are both QR and -1000.
I’m going to monitor these every month to see how quickly Airbus can clear the decks !

I am not sure it helps to make a total, since there are are entirely different situations. The CAAC inventory will be cleared whenever China grants certification, whereas QR and Airbus obviously agreed on a new delivery schedule. Of course, in both cases billing is delayed, but does it matter so much ?

Airbus reporting on their 2017 financial results stated they plan to deliver 800 civil frames in 2018 of which 600 will be A320s. That makes 200 widebodies which would presumably include around 120 A350s from what we know of the A330 and A380 plans. They seem confident that they can get those Qatar and China frames moved. Good news.

More likely "close to 800" as reported in January. I think there will be some 180 widebody aircraft delivered, and slightly more than 600 narrowbody aircraft.

Now at 55 since January, not really sure if I can reach my bet (91) by year-end hmmmm........ 55? I count 63 delivery flights this year so far. I forgot to bet, but 91 seems to be not so unrealistic, just 10 per month. So maybe even too low for a miracle december.

Now at 55 since January, not really sure if I can reach my bet (91) by year-end hmmmm........ @fabiena380 you got confused by your counting method (separation of A359 and A35K) once again.
Who said it was easy just adding them together? I expect more and more confusion while more delivery been added, still insist counting them separately is a good idea?
