yes they are missing from this picture as well, they were constructed over the last 6-9 months if I recall. there is also a new "part building" hangar being constructed between 17 and 3 on the photo at the moment. I believe this will be for the A350 parts

We were told last year that two new hangars were being built for the A320 program, and we speculated a few months ago that these hangars were temporarily used to implement A380 wing fixes. The information above does not countradict our speculation.

Indeed, so we still now have a total of 6 OF bays, 2 FL hangars, 2 operating paint bays, and 2 extra-bays, one of which is H213, many thanks UK380 for your report!! Would you know by any chance the number of the second extra bays, beside H213?.. (also facing them, H213 would be the one on the left or on the right?) Fabien

Fabien if I recall H213 is the right hand one looking towards the doors (i.e. back to the river). these look like A380 fit out hangars not A320 hangars being used as A380 fit out hangars. sorry I cant recall the number of the other one. I will check in a couple of months when I am back

The information above does not countradict our speculation. Even without the wing crack issues, Airbus has sent too many frames to XFW for just 6 hangars. I wouldn't be surprised if these 2 hangars remain outfit hangars.

With spotterxfw's video of MSN127's landing we can see that MSN144 is still outside parked in front of the FL hangars,... Fabien

I wouldn't be surprised if these 2 hangars remain outfit hangars. I suppose that Airbus aimed at a high degree of industrial flexibility. With lead time reduction and a soft market, I am not sure that so many A380 hangars are necessary next year, whereas A320 production definitely has to be ramped up. Yet, you may be right if Airbus is getting ready to serve higher A380 demand in the future. I do hope that demand picks up and requires more A380 hangars ...
