You know, a few of those 7 EK frames currently in XFW are the new 575t MTOW A380s and will be used to start the DXB-LAX service.

I think maybe the 2 extra bays aren't used to A380s anymore, we are supposed now to have MSN138 in the Paint Bay, plus just exactly 6 more frames 'inside' at XFW (MSN137 MSN140 MSN141 MSN144 MSN146 and MSN148), for the original 6 bays, and frames from TLS are a little slow to ferry, if the 2 extra bays were still used, MSN142 and others could have ferried way earlier??... (maybe the 2 extra bays were used for wing repairs, and are now (re?)used for A320s) Fabien

I tend to agree. The 2 extra hangars also look different from the 6 outfit bays.

With 25 A380s to deliver this year, vs 30 last year, Airbus probably is not working at full capacity.

Full capacity is 40 per year; the plan is to deliver 28 in 2014 which is close to the 2012 figure (30).

I think the plans for Airbus are 28 indeed as well. Fabien

We have as of today 9 frames inside hangars: MSN144 MSN147 MSN140 (painted) MSN146 MSN142 MSN137 MSN141 MSN148 MSN138 My guess speculation is that * MSN144-BA4 at 14 weeks since arrival might be in Painting (or already in Flight Line hangar?)though MSN144 was a little slow to start with OF, it might only be in Painting. * MSN138-EK must now be done with Painting, might be inside a Flight Line hangar * that leaves MSN146-LH11 MSN140-EK MSN137-QR1 MSN141-EK MSN148-BA5 inside OF bays, plus either MSN142-EK or MSN147-EK? The other would (MSN142 or MSN147) might go directly to the second Paint Bay?... Any thoughts?... Fabien
